Experience & Credentials

  • Ms. Dorris served as a Special Magistrate Appraiser for three years in Miami-Dade County, evaluating more than 5,000 property tax appeal cases across a wide range of asset classes, including high-value commercial and special-use properties. Many of these cases involved assets exceeding $100 million with valuation issues, providing her with direct, first-hand insight into how market evidence, appraisal methodologies, and financial analysis are evaluated in the tax appeal process.

  • Ms. Dorris holds a senior research leadership role at Integra Realty Resources (IRR), one of the largest independent real estate consulting firms in North America. Since 2022, she has served as Director of National Research, where she leads national research initiatives and contributes to the development of proprietary and client-focused reports, including the Viewpoint series, as well as custom research assignments across multiple commercial real estate sectors in the United States. Her work at IRR includes complex, case-specific valuation and advisory assignments for special projects nationwide, in addition to product development and market-driven research initiatives.

  • From 2016 to 2022, she served as Director of Research in IRR’s Miami office, covering South Florida, where she led market studies, feasibility analysis, highest and best use studies, valuation assignments, and fiscal impact studies across all asset classes. Her work included development planning and financial modeling (including ARGUS). She advised developers and institutional clients on large-scale and multifaceted real estate projects, including individual developments exceeding $1 billion in total project value.

  • Prior to relocating to Miami in 2015, she practiced law in Montreal, Québec, with a focus on tax law, construction law, and construction defect matters. Her work involved advising clients on complex legal and financial issues related to development and property ownership. In addition to her legal practice, she gained hands-on experience in asset management, overseeing office and condominium properties. This combined legal and operational background provided a well-rounded foundation in both the transactional and practical aspects of real estate.
